Restaurant and Commercial Rodent Control in Miami

A restaurant can do everything right inside and still get rats, because the dumpster is out back, the neighbors have dumpsters too, and the back door opens fifty times a day. Wynwood, MiMo on Biscayne Blvd. and the strips along U.S. 1 are full of kitchens next to kitchens.

Commercial rodent work is less about a single visit and more about a schedule. If you run a business and you're seeing droppings, gnawing or a rat in the dining room, call and we'll connect you with a licensed company that does commercial accounts in Miami-Dade.

What a commercial program includes

Most programs look similar on paper. What makes the difference is how often someone actually shows up and whether they write down what they find. Expect:

  • Locked, tamper-resistant bait stations around the outside of the building
  • Traps inside, in dry storage, behind equipment and in back rooms
  • Sealing at pipe penetrations, door sweeps on back doors and gap repair
  • Regular service visits on a set schedule
  • A service log you can show an inspector or a landlord

The dumpster and the back door

Most commercial rat problems start out back. Keep dumpster lids closed, have the pad hosed down, and don't let bags pile up next to it. Grease bins attract rats too. Keep the back door shut when nobody is using it and make sure the sweep at the bottom actually touches the ground.

In shared buildings and strip centers, one clean tenant next to a messy one won't stay clean for long. It helps to talk to the landlord about a building-wide program. The condo and apartment page covers the same problem in residential towers.

Hearing them right now? Call (305) 555-0101 and we'll put you through to a licensed rodent company in Miami-Dade.

Warehouses and offices

Warehouses, including the ones still left in Wynwood, see rodents in pallets, cardboard and anything stored on the floor. Keep stock up off the floor and away from walls so traps and inspections can reach the perimeter. Offices mostly see mice around break rooms. The fix is the same idea at a smaller size: traps, sealing and taking the food away.

Common questions

Can you help me pass an inspection?

We don't do inspections or paperwork. The provider you're connected with can set up a program and keep service records, which is what most inspectors want to see.

Can service happen after we close?

Many commercial providers work early mornings or after hours. Ask on the call.
